How can I find the IMEI for my item?

For smartphones and cellular tablets, we ask for an IMEI instead of a serial number. See below for several ways to find your IMEI.

For iOS devices (iPhones and iPads):

Option 1: Dial *#06# on your phone. The IMEI should display on your screen.

Option 2: Go to Settings > General > About and scroll down to the IMEI. If you have a iPhone 6s Plus or an iPhone 6s, you will find your Serial # here, but will need to look in your SIM Tray for your IMEI. For most iPhone and iPad models, your SIM Tray is on the side of your device. For older models, your SIM Tray is on the top. Insert a paperclip into the hold beside the tray to open it.

Option 3: For cellular iPads, iPhones 5 and newer models, the IMEI is printed on the back of your phone, at the bottom.

Option 4: On a computer, open iTunes.
  • If you're on a Mac, go to iTunes > Preferences. If you're on a PC, go to Edit > Preferences.
  • Click the Devices tab.
  • Hold your mouse over a backup of your iOS device to see the IMEI # appear.

For Android devices:

Option 1: Dial *#06# on your phone. The IMEI should display on your screen.

Option 2: On your phone, go to Menu > Settings > About Device > Status. Scroll down to find the IMEI.

Option 3: If your device has a removable battery, look for the IMEI number printed beneath the battery.

If you don't have your device, or you are unable to turn on your device:

1) Check the barcode of the box your device came in.
2) Check the contract you received when you purchased your device.
3) For iOS (iPhone or iPad) devices, see above for instructions on finding your IMEI through the iTunes website.
4)
Call your carrier or check your latest mobile bill for the IMEI number.
