How do I back up and restore my smartphone to its original factory settings?

Apple iOS

            
1. Download iTunes on your computer.
Download iTunes or, if you already have it, make sure you have the latest version installed at this link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.

2. Back up your data.
1. Plug your phone into your computer using the cable from your iPhone charger. iTunes should launch automatically and begin backing up your phone.
