Why does SquareTrade need the proof of purchase for my item before they’ll approve my claim?

Unfortunately, we don’t receive the proof of purchase for your item directly from the retailer where you bought it. That’s why we count on you to provide us with a receipt, confirmation email, or other proof of purchase that includes:
  • Purchase date
  • Purchase price
  • Retailer where the item was purchased
  • Name of item purchased
