What kind of replacement parts will you use when you repair my item?
We’ll only use the highest-quality new or re-manufactured parts to repair your item.
My item was lost or stolen. Can I still file a claim on it?
A SquareTrade Protection Plan is an extended warranty, not insurance. That means we only cover things that go wrong with your item — not loss or theft.
Who covers shipping costs if my item needs to be sent in for repair?
SquareTrade covers 100% of all shipping costs within the U.S.
My item is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Can I still file a claim with SquareTrade?
If your item is still covered by the manufacturer (typically a year from purchase date) and the issue is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, we’ll ask that you contact them first.
When does my coverage start?
To find out when your coverage starts, check the purchase confirmation email or welcome kit you received when you purchased your plan.
Can I just repair my item myself?
We strongly recommend letting a professional repair your item.
Why did you charge my credit card?
