This FAQ is specific to SquareTrade Protection Plans purchased for Amazon devices, directly from Amazon’s website.
Do I need to register my plan?
No matter where you bought your SquareTrade Protection Plan, registration is purely optional.
I filed a claim on my item and got a replacement. Do I need a new protection plan for it?
We offer up to three replacements on our smartphone and iPhone plans.
I bought a protection plan as a gift for someone. How do I transfer it to them?
If you’ve purchased a plan as a gift for someone, we recommend waiting until after you’ve gifted it to transfer the plan.
Where can I view the full terms and conditions of my plan?
To view the full terms and conditions of your plan, check the purchase confirmation email or welcome kit you received when you purchased your plan.
How can I find the serial and model numbers for my item?
Serial and models numbers can be found in a few places, depending on your item.
How can I find the IMEI for my item?
The IMEI or MEID number can be found on the box your device came in or receipt or contract you received at the time of purchase. Or follow these instructions to find it on your phone.
I have multiple SquareTrade plans. Can I rename them to tell them apart?
If you have multiple plans, you can absolutely rename them in order to tell them apart.
